My name is Craig Stanbury and I am the Conservative Borough Council candidate for Hatfield South West ward. I’m a Financial Controller at a wholesaler based in South Hatfield. I worked around the world earlier in my career, but I went to school in the borough and I still live locally. This gives me the emotional stake in the area a local councillor needs.
We may have met already - I was going to be the candidate in the postponed elections last year and I was really enjoying the process of knocking on doors and meeting residents. Many people told me they have not heard from their existing borough councillors personally before - I believe if you represent an area locally you should make an effort to speak to people personally, so I will be out there looking to meet you and your neighbours as soon as it is possible.
If you elect me I will represent you with the energy and commitment that seems to be missing from the current Labour borough councillors.
