My name is Marios Artemi, and I am the county councillor for Welwyn Garden City South division.
I live on Howlands, just around the corner from the QEII Hospital. I've been immersed in the community for many years - I have refereed more football matches at King George V Playing Fields than I can remember and I have done the daily school run to drop my children off at Commonswood School many times. I know what it's like to live here and I am proud to do so.
This emotional stake I have in Welwyn Garden City is why I wanted to become your county councillor - I want to make sure you and everyone else in Welwyn Garden City gets the best we possibly can from Herts County Council. I may be new to politics but I know I have the local knowledge and experience to be able to represent you effectively.
I am keen to work with the rest of the Welwyn Garden City South Conservative Team and make sure that anti social behaviour at KGV Playing Fields is wiped out, so that local families can take this community facility back and enjoy it in the way it was intended.
