I am a ward councillor for Hollybush and have been since 2010. I have lived in Hertfordshire all of my life & have worked in corporate finance for over 30 years, in Herts & Essex and use this experience to chair the Council’s Resource Overview & Audit Committees, as well as Development Management. I take these roles very seriously, and I am honoured to and serve on these committees.
I have two teenage daughters at secondary school within the Borough & they are the reason I became involved in politics. I was outraged with the decision to take maternity out of the QE2 hospital, having seen first hand the wonderful local service they provided when my girls were born there, and rather than just stewing on it, I decided I’d try to make a difference. I’m fully backing our local MP’s endeavours with the local NHS trust.
When I’m not attending council meetings, helping residents or working, I love to watch football & rugby & enjoy live music. I’m a member of the England Rugby Club & attend as many games as possible, when time allows. I am also a member at West Ham United Football Club. I have a wide range of musical taste ranging from house music, to the Arctic Monkeys.
I was re-elected as a Hollybush borough councillor in the local elections which took place in May 2021.
