Sunny Thusu - Borough Councillor for Welwyn West

Borough Councillor for Welwyn West

I am currently a local resident of Welwyn who has worked in Hertfordshire as a Child Trauma surgeon for several years. I have been fortunate enough to work within QE II in Welwyn Garden City and am devastated to see the disappearance of such a valued local asset.

As a family man with a GP wife and two young children, I am keen to protect the area my children grow up in. I am determined to represent all local residents, whether they voted for me or not. I will work closely with the other Conservative councillors to tackle issues around local amenities and anti-social behaviour. I want Welwyn to continue to be a safe place for all.

I will ensure that your views are represented within the Council above all else, it is your voices that must be heard and I am eager to listen to them. That is why I am using my medical background to help Grant Shapps MP in his ‘Make Healthcare Local’ campaign to the need for improving health services in our community.
