I have lived in Welwyn since 1961.  My wife, Erika, and I have four grandchildren - all at Hertfordshire schools.I was first elected to the County Council in 1993, and am a former member of both the Borough Council and the Police Authority.

I am a veterinary surgeon, but no longer directly involved in day to day practice, so this allows me to devote plenty of time to my role as a County Councillor.

Stephen has been the County Councillor for Hatfield Rural since 2017. This area includes Brookmans Park, Little Heath, North Mymms, Northaw, Cuffley, and Essendon.
